There’s something about the loyalty of childhood friends that makes us stronger. Their very presence makes you feel relaxed, yet attentive. They have a reliability that can only be forged through time. This is why I think childhood friends will know who you are long after you forget.
True friendship isn’t about being inseparable, it’s about being separated and nothing changes. It’s just funny how we didn’t realize we were making memories; we just knew we were having fun.
Along the way, people get separated for one reason or the other, we outgrow some stuff, get busy and the bonds break somehow. The whole point is making an effort and check up on that friend. You never know what someone could be going through and that simple “hey been thinking of you hoping all is well” is enough to brightens someone’s day.
A good friend is a connection to life – a tie to the past, a road to the future, the key to sanity in a totally insane World
